We are very happy and proud to announce that the following papers of UR'24 were awarded, respectively nominated:
Many problems in AI (in reasoning, planning, learning, perception and robotics) require the agent to operate with incomplete or uncertain information. The objective of this track is to present and discuss a broad and diverse range of current work on uncertain reasoning, including theoretical and applied research based on different paradigms. We hope that the variety and richness of this track will help to promote cross fertilization among the different approaches for uncertain reasoning, and in this way foster the development of new ideas and paradigms.
The Special Track on Uncertain Reasoning (UR) is the oldest track in FLAIRS conferences, running annually since 1996. The UR 2023 Special Track at the 37th International Florida Artificial Intelligence Research Society Conference (FLAIRS-37) is the 29th in the series. Like the past tracks, UR'24 seeks to bring together researchers working on broad issues related to reasoning under uncertainty.
Papers on all aspects of uncertain reasoning are invited. Papers of particular interest include, but are not limited to:
FLAIRS 37 will be held at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa, in Miramar Beach, Florida, USA. Additional information on the conference location and travel planning can be found here. Feel free to write the organizers (tanya.braun@uni-muenster.de or kai.sauerwald@fernuni-hagen.de) for any further information about the special track.
Submitted papers may be accepted as short papers or poster abstracts, if reviewers deem this a better presentation format. There will also be a separate poster only submission for authors who want to submit and present it in a poster session. Appendices after the references are permitted but might not be reviewed, and appendices will not be permitted in the final version of the paper if it is accepted.
Submission will be through the EasyChair conference system. Refer to FLAIRS 37 for submission instructions. Authors should indicate the special track "Uncertain Reasoning" for their submissions. All accepted papers in the track will be published in the proceedings of FLAIRS-37 published by Florida Online Journals. For each accepted paper, there must be an accompanying author registration. Tentatively a special issue of an international journal will be devoted to extended versions of selected papers in the special track.
